The Role:
As Content Editor & Social Media Manager at Nordic Knots, you will own and drive our global social presence. This role is about shaping, creating, and managing content across all social platforms to consistently elevate the brand, engage our community, and reach new audiences.
We are looking for someone who is deeply clued into the world of Nordic Knots - our aesthetic, our references, and our point of view. You have a sharp instinct for what is happening right now across social media, from emerging TikTok trends to platform shifts, while also having a strong understanding of our wider cultural landscape: art, fashion, interior design, and contemporary visual culture. You are expected to consistently deliver high-level creative output that feels considered, relevant, and distinctly Nordic Knots.
You will be the channel owner for Nordic Knots’ global social accounts, as well as a key contributor to our newsletter and blog from a content editing perspective. You are responsible for planning, creating, editing, publishing, and optimising content across organic and paid social channels, ensuring everything feels aligned, premium, and unmistakably Nordic Knots. This includes the ability to concept and design stories, edits, posts, and presentations - thinking visually, editorially, and strategically across formats and platforms.
You will work closely with the wider creative and marketing team, you will translate campaigns, product launches, and brand stories into strong social-first executions. You will also independently create content - from quick, reactive posts to more considered storytelling - and manage external creators or partners when needed, including budgets and timelines.
The goal of the role is to build a distinctive, consistent, and engaging social presence that strengthens brand equity, drives relevance, and supports commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
· Own and manage all Nordic Knots social media accounts globally
· Plan, create, edit, publish, and optimise content across platforms (Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, and emerging channels)
· Develop social content edits for campaigns, launches, and ongoing brand storytelling
· Create original content (still and motion), from concept to execution
· Collaborate closely with the Creative Director on campaign adaptations for social
· Ensure a consistent tone of voice, aesthetic, and storytelling across channels
· Social publishing, community management, and engagement
· Track performance, analyze insights, and optimize content based on data
· Manage external creators, freelancers, and production budgets when relevant
· Contribute to newsletter and blog content from an editorial and content perspective

· Deep understanding of the social media landscape and platform-specific best practices
· Strong creator mindset with excellent craft skills in still and motion content
· Editorial point of view with a clear sense of storytelling and brand voice
· Multifaceted creative: able to conceptualize, style, produce content, and write copy
· Fluent in digital software for design, photography, video editing
· Strong understanding and appreciation of the Nordic Knots aesthetic
· Experienced in social publishing, administration, and performance management
· Community-driven, with a genuine interest in building engagement and dialogue
· Hands-on, solution-oriented, and comfortable owning execution
· Commercially minded and results-oriented
· Digitally savvy, analytical, and comfortable working with data and insights
· A strong team player with a positive and collaborative mindset
· Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
· Curious, growth-oriented, and open to new ways of working
· Self-motivated, responsible, and confident in taking ownership
Qualifications (applications without below will not be considered)
· +2 years of hands-on experience in a social media or content editor role or similar at a brand-led company, preferably in the fields of interior design and/or fashion
· Experience from premium, design-driven sectors such as interior design, fashion, lifestyle, art, or architecture
· Demonstrated experience translating campaigns and launches into social-first content
