Nordic Knots is an interior design brand specialising in premium rugs and textiles rooted in Scandinavian aesthetics. We create timeless, aspirational products and experiences designed to elevate modern living.
As we continue to grow in the US, we are preparing to open our LA Flagship in West Hollywood, an important new chapter for Nordic Knots and our physical retail presence. We are now expanding our LA retail team and seeking confident and engaging individuals with a strong interest in interior design who are passionate about sales and delivering exceptional in-store customer experiences.
As a Sales & Showroom Associate in LA, you are passionate about design, highly organised, customer-focused and self-motivated. This is a dynamic and hands-on role where you will be instrumental in supporting the launch and ongoing success of our West Hollywood flagship, driving sales, providing thoughtful client consultation, maintaining the impeccable appearance of our showroom and supporting efficient day-to-day operations.
The ideal candidate thrives in a varied and engaging environment, possesses meticulous attention to detail and is prepared to fully commit to the success of the showroom. Experience in premium retail or interior design is highly valued, with category-specific knowledge of rugs, curtains, home textiles, furniture or related home categories considered an advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Client Engagement
Sales: Drive face-to-face sales in our showroom and conduct virtual consultations, offering clients knowledgeable guidance on our collection and working toward individual and store sales targets through exceptional service and thoughtful interior design guidance.
Client Engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact for private clients and design professionals. Confidently engage clients, understand their needs and provide personal guidance based on their space, style and product requirements.
Product Expertise: Proactively and continuously develop deep knowledge of Nordic Knots collections, materials and services to effectively consult with and educate clients.
CRM & Client Relationships: Proactively manage client follow-up from inquiry through delivery, including quotations, order processing and communication. Build lasting relationships through thoughtful follow-up and outreach.
Sales Goals: Work toward achieving and exceeding individual and store sales targets and KPIs while maintaining a high standard of service.
Showroom Operations & Inventory
Showroom Operations: Support the day-to-day operation of the showroom, including opening and closing procedures, maintaining showroom standards and completing other daily operational responsibilities as needed.
Inventory Accuracy: Maintain accurate inventory counts and detailed records for product samples in the showroom and external storage.
Logistics & Receiving: Support the ordering and tracking of samples and inventory, and coordinate receiving, inspection, logging and processing of deliveries.
Organisation & Merchandising: Maintain the organisation and arrangement of samples on the showroom floor and in storage, ensuring displays are neat, accessible and aligned with visual merchandising standards. Help replenish showroom racks as needed.
Master Sample Management: Support the care and organisation of the master sample library, ensuring samples are properly labelled, hung and maintained in pristine, ready-to-use condition.
Qualifications & Skills
3+ years of experience in high-end retail or showroom sales, ideally within interiors, home or another premium design-led environment. Experience with rugs, curtains, home textiles, furniture or related categories is highly valued.
Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets through a confident, engaging and relationship-based approach.
Strong eye for interior design, with the ability to guide clients thoughtfully across colour, material, scale, space and use.
Natural relationship builder who is comfortable working with both private clients and Trade professionals, including interior designers and architects.
Strong organisational skills and willingness to take an active, hands-on role in the operation and presentation of the showroom.
Comfort using POS systems, CRM software and Google Workspace/Microsoft Office. Experience with virtual consultation tools such as Zoom or Teams is a plus.
