We are searching for an experienced Senior Furniture Designer with a refined aesthetic point of view, deep material sensitivity and the ability to translate design vision into beautifully resolved products. You should have strong hands on capability, technical confidence and a genuine interest in creating furniture that is both distinctive and enduring.
The Role
As Senior Furniture Designer you will play a key role in shaping and developing the Nordic Knots furniture category. This is a hands on design role with responsibility for creating furniture pieces from concept to production ready handover, with a strong focus on form, proportion, materiality and detailing.
You will contribute to building a furniture collection that feels true to the Nordic Knots world while adding depth and relevance to the wider assortment. The role requires a designer who can combine a strong creative point of view with technical precision and an understanding of how to bring products into production without compromising the integrity of the design.
Working closely with the Creative Director, internal cross functional teams and external production partners, you will lead projects through concept development, refinement, technical detailing and final handover. You will play an important role in ensuring that the design vision is maintained throughout the development process and realised to a high standard.

Your Responsibilities
• Design and develop furniture products from concept to production ready handover
• Create furniture concepts that reflect the Nordic Knots brand and strengthen the overall product world
• Contribute to building a cohesive and relevant furniture category through strong product design and material direction
• Produce the technical documentation required for development and production, including CAD files, drawings, specifications, briefs and other handover materials
• Lead the design process through concept development, refinement, detailing and final preparation for production
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure design quality, feasibility and execution
• Balance creative ambition with commercial relevance, timelines and practical feasibility
• Contribute to a collaborative, low prestige and high standards culture across the wider team
About You
• You are an experienced furniture designer with a strong ability to create premium, design driven products
• You have a refined eye for form, proportion, materials, construction and detailing
• You are confident taking products from concept through to production ready handover
• You combine strong creative thinking with technical understanding and excellent attention to detail
• You understand how to balance design integrity with feasibility, timelines and business needs
• You are collaborative, self driven and solution oriented in the way you work
• You communicate clearly and work well with both internal stakeholders and external partners
• You are motivated by creating thoughtful, long lasting products with a strong aesthetic identity
Experience
• Several years of experience in furniture design
• Strong experience developing products from concept to production ready handover
• Experience producing technical documentation such as CAD, drawings, specifications and development briefs
• Assortment knowledge and an understanding of how products contribute to a cohesive and commercially relevant collection is a plus
• Experience working with suppliers, manufacturers or other external production partners
• Experience from a premium and design driven brand is meriting
• Experience contributing to the build out of a furniture category is a strong plus
• Experience from adjacent premium home or interior categories can also be relevant
